Could a comic/cartoon work for an actual military recruitment.
Could a comic/cartoon work for an actual military recruitment
Propaganda cartoons existed for a reason
But I mean strictly for the military
Isn’t that more of a political issue?
Wasn't that pretty much what G.I. Joe was?
You could say the for transformers honestly
>Russian Military
Why? Don't they just conscript either way. More seriously though, videogames have that covered. Anything portraying war in a positive light would get shit on pretty hard for good reason.
I don’t think war video games portray war as positive. In terms of marketing yes but those with stories not so much
Do we even have any /k/-tier animation? The only ones from recent memory are 2011's Looney Tunes Show.
SSSS makes me want to start a zombie plague and join the Norwegian army. Does that count?
Yes
>You will never go innawoods with Sigrun armed with an AK5 and a short sword
Feels bad mang
They're portrayed as a great way to build character.
And technology
Video games work much better for indoctrinating idiots into joining the military.
Historically speaking that's not exactly incorrect.
No it was to sell action figures
>We will never get a military spurdo cartoon
>One of a very small number of cartoons kids could be exposed to
>Intensely patriotic
>Actually has moments that even some Americans can find cool
Has run on and off since 1977, seems to have been discontinued in 2013
I am 100% confident that Squirrel and Hedgehog has inspired at least one kid to join the NK military.
actually, several cartoons had been made to be shown to Military men as part of their entertainment.
problem is, these days that kind of violence is really really REALLY frowned upon in Cartoons, and I think a lot of people in the military are too jaded to accept glorification of their line of work. (Satire though is plentiful)
that said, a prime example of military recruitment cartoon would be the 1957 animation: Drafty Isn't It?
They’re conscripts in nk
But hundreds of cartoons depict stuff you would most likely see. Like anatomy
>I think a lot of people in the military are too jaded to accept glorification of their line of work
You've never met a marine I take it
Admittedly, the number of Marines I've met- Huh, actually no, all different branches.
Navy, airforce, and army
But a Marine? Don't think I've met a marine post-service.
true. I mean the people who tend to oppose these things though tend to... not have a good sense of priorities.
Frankly, as a bit of a /k/ hobbyist, it would be interesting to see at least strongly military themed cartoons again.
I guess like Girls Und Panzer of sorts.
I would love to see some military themed cartoons too. Sadly I feel like anyone who actually does want that is probably nowhere near the current animation industry.
>I guess like Girls Und Panzer of sorts.
Please no.
Do you actually know what GuP is?
Not EXACTLY like Girls und Panzer, but I would more mean like...
Have it be in some absurd setting where certain aspects of military engagement are a light-hearted sport and historical references are dropped at every possible opportunity.
My first thought is Aerial Combat. Everyone loves aerial combat. With WWII plan- ah, fuck, it is just Girls Und Panzer...
Dunno about recruitment, but you had the wartime cartoons made for entertainment
youtube.com
youtube.com
and even cartoons made for training
youtube.com
I'd watch a cartoon about anthro Finish conscripts just fucking about.
>anime moe’s driving tanks jacking off german tanks
Yes I have seen it. French school was the best but that show is pants on head retarded
You aren't meant to take it seriously.
Spurdo stories would fantastic
I know but damnit at least have it make some sense. A panzer can’t drift
Oh i remember that fucking greentext. It is amazing.
>it’s on ice
>not an actual paved road
Some of it is on ice.
Militaries in cartoons can only have lasers and never “kill” each other
I miss these
Yes. Japan is doing it right now.
MGS
Ja
Bump
That's Kotobuki.
It fucking sucks and you know it.
Is this from something larger? pretty cool
>He doesn't like "Japanese Ultra Nationalism and War Crime Denial: The Show"
Anyone got the original greentext story for this one?
Bump
