Charlene's great, can't get enough of her.

It's Diego Molano's first show, so it's not really getting its footing yet.
I'm sure that he can learn from this show's shortcomings and apply what he learned onto his next show.
Hell, maybe he can even turn things around for this show later down the line.
But for right now it's looking like it'll be a boring ride throughout.

Victor caused every single problem in each episode again. Only watched the episode for screencaps, and there was two episodes with briefs, so that was decent at least.

When I heard that line delivered I figured every Charlenefag would cream themselves. I wish that family got more focus as they're more entertaining than what we get.

The resolution of this one felt so weak that a typical story would only use this as the first part. Is there going to be a part two? Without resolving what happens when they release a beast that eats everything and anything and will grow so large when it's ripped apart it will create the heavens and earth into the wild and after they completely trashed their grandma's house the story isn't complete. The world ends and they go to juvie? So far they've been good at avoiding serious consequence by making things better, but here they make things worse in just about every way possible.

If they made the mythological creatures more threatening like they're supposed to be that would be a big improvement already.
The plant and black cadejo were pretty threatening, but Huēhuecoyōtl, Lechuza, and the chupacabra were fucking jokes.
They had their bite taken away from them, and Lechuza and the chupacabra were made into fucking cuddlebugs.
The "not having things get too creepy for kids" aspect is seriously biting this show in the ass, among a fuck-ton of other things.

That link is Australian based, so anything involving law should be taken with a grain of salt considering that whole nation is becoming such a nanny state you'd think they were trying to become a prison island again. Also while I don't think keeping a caged hummingbird would ever be a wise decision, I DO know that they're pretty much the only untamed chicks you can find and nurse back to health/raise without them regularly dying on you out of nowhere. Nectar is easy enough to get, you just have to feed them regularly and obsessively while they're young. Eventually they'll fly off on their own but they'll still recognize and be friendly with you even after they leave the metaphorical/literal nest. Hummingbirds are much hardier little creatures than people give them credit for, assuming you can meat their energy demands - at least in my experience.

Well I didn't expect to see that demonic soul devouring demon dog in a children cartoon. The real legend of the Cadejo is fucked up, it involves devil worshiping and blood rituals.

Here is a funny anecdote they made a movie about them in my country and I swear this is true, for the cadejos they ripped the 3D models of the dogs from Resident evil 5 and the white wolf from twilight princess.
And they charged money in the theater to watch that movie, I'm pretty sure the only reason those people didn't end up with lawyers in their ass was because we live in a third world shithole nobody cares about.

Whats the consensus so far? I feel is a mix bag some episodes had good comedic timing and others just lack something intangible that I can't describe. Probably the music score, it doesn't feel right at times.

I expected an ongoing plot with enjoyable characters in an interesting town. Instead, the show is plainly episodic with poor worldbuilding and a weak main cast.

There's no real sense of mystical wonder when everyone is already aware and participating in it, yet at the same time, people are acting like it's a secret. It's a show about two boys who are new in town and nearly get themselves and others killed every episode because they're stupid and inconsiderate (Mainly Victor). It's just a shame since I was genuinely looking forward to it.

It's unironically probably the weakest cartoon airing on CN right now.
