Final Fantasy XV/Versus XIII didn't even actually begin development until 2012, after first being announced in fucking 2006. Same thing with KH3. The only reason XV probably got released at all is because the director they brought in to replace Nomura just put his foot down and said that they were gonna release a final product in 2016, come hell or high water.
