Amazon pump all their profits into dominating other industries. In 5-10 years AWS, Amazon Prime and Amazon.com will likely get split up but until then, they're going to go all out expanding, pumping vast sums that they don't really care if they lose or not.

They've got LOTR and Wheel of Time being made, they're going to try to dominate fantasy post-GoT.

The whole thing was pretty much him advertising and shilling the show, which I am pretty sure is why he got banned. Then again it was Yea Forums, probably did it for the lulz as well.
He’s not wrong though. Aside from Man In High Castle, but even that turned into flaming garbage after the second season. Hell a lot of people don’t even know Amazon has video service, they just think Prime is solely for faster shipping and deals.
