>muh bad storytelling

The only way the Reynard contract could be coming up in relation to this is if Kat is using the data she got from doing the transfer through the computer to facilitate the transfer for the robot's soul into the new body.

Otherwise why would this be coming up now, of all times?

Kat done goofed with etheric shit and now the Annies are going to have to pay the price.

I want to pin Annie against a wall and make out with her!

>more bureaucracy
Thanks Tom
Can't wait for the next two weeks dedicated to fixing this bullshit

They're speaking in unison now

it looks like the interpreter is just clarifying what contract was used as the template for the transfer. The issue seems to be that kat is attempting to shift a mechanical creature into the organic realm which is probably treading on the feet of some serious business deities.

Soon, they will develop their own special language and communicate with each other in front of others.

someone's salty they didn't get to make a thread with an offensive title

their cycles are probably synced as well

Magical Bureaucracy is WizRAD though, gotta fill the forms if you want those magic brooms.

>Be cosmic arbiter
>First day off in eighty thousand years
>Get called in because of some fucking kids and their fucking plushie
>MFW form I assumed to not crack and boil their mortal brains has no face capable of expressing my displeasure

Dude I unironically love ghost bureaucracy it's like the perfect encapsulation of this comic's mood

Imagine Annie NOT being someone's waifu. PATHETIC.

Attached: annie4.png (558x810, 382K)

But user, what if my waifu is Renard?

Hi Loup.

Attached: 00002014.jpg (600x849, 465K)

This is now an Annie thread. Any off-topic posts will be deleted.

Not quite pathetic, not quite based. You're caught in limbo.

Attached: annie7.png (424x418, 237K)

Accelerating their bonding might be a sign that Tom wants them nice and attached to each other fast because he plans on tragically killing off one of them sooner than later

Imagine a dead Annie.
Just.
Imagine.

So Kat just copypasta'd what she thought was code without actually checking to see what it does

I can't wait for Paz to learn about this and wage war against the court for inconveniencing her waifu.

That's pretty much the feel I have at the moment, yeah

Seems like these bonding contracts are custom made and have DRM locks to keep you from pirating/changing shit up

>"Let's make this robot into a sex toy."
>youtube.com/watch?v=idoYCVLh2qI
>Kat Commits Divine Copyright Infringement

I don't think the Court has anything to do with this. If they knew how to force Reynardine into a body they could outright control they would have done it when he was still possessing Sivo

This is some etheric shit that I guess happened when Rey jumped into a toy someone owned, like Hetty in that one kid's doll

It'd suck for your friend to die and yet still be alive. Do you mourn? Have you really lost anything? I'm surprised Homestuck didn't touch on the idea more.

They're clearly two different people at this point nigga. More than six months personality and experience divergence between them assuming their minds and souls were still essentially identical when they "shifted" and something wasn't also changed in that instant

Soma rules in this bitch

Ehhhh. They're not 1:1 but they're still pretty damn similar, enough for Kat to have no need to miss anything from Forest Annie because it's all still around and more. Court Annie, maybe some times lost, and it'd be sad to confuse a memory between the two, but there's not a big enough difference to really have lost something. I'm not sure how she sees this anyway. My two friends that are Annie, or my separate friends that are court and forest Annie. Wonder if they're gonna split their names at any point.

>some actual answers
Alright, which one of you faggots kidnapped Tom?

Don't worry, im sure we will get more questions on Monday to make up for it.

Piss of Rey.
Piss off Annie.

Wait, wat?

They love each other very much.

What if they go steady and hold hands in public?

Nuh-uh!

The transfer was Juliette's doing, 'member?
She's the one who dun goofed.

Good taste.

Kat would never fuck with shit without understanding it properly.
She does have an issue of trusting other people too much, though.

they already beat up a monster together, that's pretty much a first date

look out Smitty and Parley, Annie x Annie strongest new powercouple in Gunnerkrigg court

That fic went very weird after a few chapters.
2/10, would forget again.

I didn't care for it much either, the writing was weird and Rey felt very out of character.

However I very much approve of Rey x Annie

When I finally finish my fic it'll probably be a little better written but a lot more disliked

Juliette did this.
I'm guessing the reason she's not up there is because Arthur's body is owned by Kat, because she made it.

Attached: fat dumb Juliettes fault Kat is perfect and does no wrong.jpg (566x251, 36K)

>a LITTLE better written
That fic randomly switched to first person for a chapter!
It invented nonsensical backstories for no real reason.
It invented OCs for a single scene!
It was a lewd fic that had almost no lewdness!
It is BAD. Objectively terrible.
I'm sorry, user who dug it up, I appreciate your conservational efforts, and I'm very happy for you that you found it and I hope you enjoy it, but some things don't have to be preserved.

ahem

Same
This stupid page is honestly the first time in ages Gunnerkrigg has felt like it used to pre-Jeanne battle

I'll be honest I didn't read past like... the first sex scene. That was enough for me to know it wasn't worth going farther.

Usually when I write people at least get to the end, if for no other reason than morbid curiosity.

Anyway, enough namefagging for tonight.

Attached: consenting.jpg (358x353, 29K)

I like it, too.

I admit I didn't get that far into it either. It was a little heavy on the purple prose.
I guess this isn't going to scratch the itch I thought it would.

>Kat just copypasta'd
>Kat would never fuck with shit without understanding it properly
reminder in pic related, also few pages later Kat says it'll be useful for work on Arthur's boy

Attached: 00001927.jpg (600x849, 215K)

>hey Ether let me copy your homework

Obviously, to understand something you have to study it.
She works with things she doesn't understand, duh. That's how science works.
But she doesn't just fuck around with things beyond her understanding all willy nilly. She understands them first.

and honestly, "fucking around with stuff you don't understand" is the human fucking condition. Everything we currently consider normal we gained by manipulating rather than fully understanding it first. It's way easier.

We learn to block rivers with tools and mimicing beavers, only much later do we learn the full extent of the effects it has on the watershed and the river system

Or like lobotomies. "Feelings definitely seem to come from up here, our brains are different than everything else. Also, these parts light up during feelings. We can probably fix hysterics and looneys by waggling scalpels around up in it so it will calm down"

I don't think human advancement has ever involved knowing the full implications of an action before taking it.

Or potentially misunderstands them, which seems to be what happened here, but there is no shame in that, the whole point with Science is that if you make a mistake you can correct it upon discovery, not that there are absent, because the idea is the pursuit of understanding what is correct, not the pursuit of being "right", if that makes sense, i know im probably wording it awkwardly due EFL, that is also why im pretty sure Kat will be able to resolve the Snafu now that she is aware of it.

Attached: 00001533.jpg (600x849, 171K)

Sure, but your analogy is shit.
And comparing medical quackery (which lobotomies aren't, really, they do work as intended) to real science is a bit silly, don't you think?
Yes, there are stupid people that assume rubbing sheep blood on your skin cures cancer or whatever for absolutely no scientific reason, but that's because medicine wasn't really considered a science back then.
Those that practiced actual science, even in ancient times had much better standards.
I think a much better analogy to Kat not knowing what she's doing would be if ancient astronomers believed the earth was flat for religious reasons (which they didn't) and let that influence the science of astronomy (which it didn't). It's absolutely not part of the 'human condition', your analogy was just stupid.
No one was saying that Kat has to be omniscient, either, but she's not blindly applying things she known nothing about, just like people building dams know a great deal about building dams. If there are unintended consequences, that's because we aren't omnipotent gods. Kat isn't either, yet.

Again, Kat didn't even do the transfer part. See

i forgot this was a page

I just figured it was niceties about the operation as whole as opposed to specifically the Transfer, but that's my bad then.

>That's okay then.
wew lad

We hadn't had a proper "MYSTERY SOLVED" in a while, had we

Fuckit I'm just gonna say what we're all thinking.
Court Annie is cuter.

Big nose.

Attached: big nose.jpg (96x131, 4K)

That's true.

>The Gods don't support open source

THEN YOU FIND NEW GODS.

Attached: Perhaps we can find some information on this Stallman person.jpg (1366x768, 1010K)

where the fuck is the double annie porn already

What was the contract again?

Depends on who they mean.
We assume it's about Renard, but what if all the robots have a contract that we never knew about.
I mean their original tech was pretty much magic.

What's this, some sort of software Hippie? Disgusting.

There are a few pieces floating around, just look her up on Paheal and they're right at the top. Surprised there hasn't been more though.

>Shifted
It's a god damn stable time loop isn't it? One Annie is the other Annie from a short while in the future sent to the past. I am actually fucking mad. I hate that trope.

What? It's not a loup, otherwise Forest Annie would remember. Also, why would Loup do it in the most contrived way possible? She's just from another continuity, that's all.

You gotta pay the soul toll.

Coyote has been known to remove memories. Loup may be able to do the same.

That's so contrived.

>That's so contrived.
It's fucking Loup.

>Or like lobotomies. "Feelings definitely seem to come from up here, our brains are different than everything else. Also, these parts light up during feelings. We can probably fix hysterics and looneys by waggling scalpels around up in it so it will calm down"
Lobotomies have a lot more science behind them than that. Most of the issue with them isn't the practice itself, but that doctors were over-prescribing it and preforming it without being qualified to. It's also a dangerous procedure, so it should have been kept as a last resort. When it actually went right, it did work.

What exactly is the breach?

Likely but it's perfect for a punchline. When the Annies finally ask him to make them one, he'd just grab Court Annie and do the process of pulling her memory and magicing her appearance to the original Forest Annie before handing her over to a past Loup.

It would be horrifying and to make matters worse, Loup offers her the memories so she gets all the lost time back.

Attached: coyoteflakes.jpg (540x809, 118K)

It's when Juliette comes out of the pool.

What if Kat needed up and Juliette magic-owned Arthur and he had to do whatever she said haha no matter how weird haha

sorry, maybe I miscommunicated. I'm not trying to compare what Kat did to lobotomy or blocking a river, just was using them to illustrate my point that, "people trying to make new changes without always knowing exactly all implications of the process"

>Those that practiced actual science, even in ancient times had much better standards..... It's absolutely not part of the 'human condition'

Question: do you consider the discovery of antibiotics "actual science"? If it is, do you know if the effects of widespread use of antibiotics were known upon its discovery? I don't believe they were, not sure though. If they weren't, then that type of situation is what I was trying to say. To my understanding, antibiotics were discovered, but because of how it works (some bacteria survive, and they pass on their resistance to the bacteria to their progeny) the full implications only become clear to us later.

Either way, maybe saying "human condition" was just artful exaggeration on my part. I was trying to be clear, I suppose.

>Offer
The best would be if he put them back in without asking cause That's Our Loup, always the inconsiderate lad, what a cad.

Sounds like a normal marriage to me.

Attached: 00002035.jpg (600x849, 295K)

>do you consider the discovery of antibiotics "actual science"?
No? Penicillin was discovered on accident.
And of course the dangers of them were known. They were just simply too useful to stop using them and still are.
My point is that that's not a good analogy to using something you have no understanding of, like it was proposed Kat did with the ether.
An analogy for that would be more along the lines of using electricity before we understood what it was or what it does, which of course doesn't happen, because we wouldn't be able to use it, then.
That's always a thing in shitty fantasy where people use magic that isn't scientifically understood at all in-universe, because the writer is too lazy or incapable to make up proper rules for it.

IT'S NO USE

YOU WERE BORN A SHITTER

Attached: zero shitter.jpg (1920x1080, 192K)

Even Juliette, as careless as she was, which is what cause this breach of contract, does understand the ether to some extent. She might even be the closest to an expert the court has. She didn't just diddle around randomly to see what might happen to her lover's brain.

True but then Forest Annie would be left too confused to appreciate Loup's genius scheme

Kat's nose is cute!

The idea of the Annie situation being fixed is sad. It's still the most interesting idea the comic's had in years.

It would look cuter pressed against Annie's while they were making out

It would look cuter with a hook in it.

>a shitter
Lewd!

user prepare yourself for the lewdest smut ever written by man

Attached: 81Zglq6MTLL.jpg (1803x2034, 328K)

Oof.
I died.
My pens exploded.

zasmasol

Zimmy

Interpreter directly says the contract in question was originally between Annie and her toy (Rey) or presumably its other potential owners

Absolutely true, there's a good reason why it was lost to time. I hope everyone's curiosity was satisfied anyway.

There wasn't a good reason for Kat's eternal orgasm denial story to be lost, though :(
