This looks okay.

This looks awful.

Enjoy your 45 minute tech demo that costs 40 bucks, then.

I honestly think Kinect was less of a scam than current vr technology. At least Kinect didn't cost you an arm and a leg to play shitty full priced demos. VR needs to take a backseat for another decade or so. When the only thing it's good for is larping as anime girls you know your tech is half baked.

I'm more curious about how they're gonna pull this off without making it a rail shooter. Supposedly, it's open environments with Tony's mansion being the hub-world between missions.

Color me cautiously optimistic. Aiming looks a bit busy...hopefully they come up with a lock-on mechanic

The hell happened to that Avengers game being made by Square-Enix. Was it cancelled?

Possibly getting a trailer this E3 alongside the FFVII Remake.

>HUD is in the shape of Iron Man's helmet.
>moves around as if Tony's head is moving around in it.
Shouldn't it be stationary from Stark's perspective?

Yeah, I thought that was weird, too. Looks cool, but that's not how Iron Man's HUD should work.

>shit 2 hour gimmick
Woo.

That was my first fear, but apparently they're trying to make a full length game put of it, including various circumstances where you can fuck up as Tony Stark outside the armor.

>vr

We've already reached the peak with VR, everyone I know who bought it played with it for a bit and it's now gathering dust once the novelty wore off. But Kinect was way worse if you ever played any of the games, it wasn't as expensive but it was even more worthless. At least VR peripherals improve the shit out of hentai games.
But like every other peripheral gimmick that's been pushed, it will never be able to compete with the simplicity and range of an analogue controller if you actually want to play anything that isn't a sim.

That game was objectively garbage, though. Worst I can say about Iron Man VR is that it's ambitious, but looks gimmicky.

I like the suit. Hopefully we can customize it.

>That game was objectively garbage
Tell me what was actually garbage about it. The next gen versions sucked shit and was buggy as hell but, the PS2 and Wii versions were more than servicable for a first attempt at a 3D Iron Man game.

Daredevil, Captain America, and Dr. Strange will have games. Believe me, I'm from the future.

>VR on-rails shooter
No fucking thanks.

>VR
>Wand Controllers are required
Into the trash it goes. Resident Evil 7 proves you can have an amazing VR game with the typical controller, why not just stick to what is good and works?

Cause VR isn't about plastering a 360 degree screen to you face it about getting closer and closer to a fully immersive experience, which will completely change the world of porn-- AH I mean gaming

Why not like you will ever see it

We'll probably at least get cutscenes

The idea is that you actually fly the suit with your habd movements. They control your pitch, direction, and yaw. F.E. putting your hands behind you flies you forward., and moving them side by side steers the suit

It sounds like it's going to be hars to get used to, but the dude that played the preview said that it feels a lot more natural than it sounds.

VR porn's easy and within our grasp already, we already have the headset and self heating USB fleshlights, and now we just need haptic bodysuits which have been around as unmarketable tech since the 80s and the nips have already shown great possibilities when they programed some shit that allows for feedback from thrusting into a mounted fleshlight to be interpreted by a game.
But actually making an action game a fully immersive experience is another beast entirely, hell just flying is still a pipe dream: just because you use your hands to control and fly the iron man suit doesn't mean it'll be immersive when all you're doing is standing up in your room and still feeling the weight of gravity.
