You can actually pinpoint the exact moment Catra's heart breaks. Let's talk about She-Ra, the second best debut series of 2018 next to Hilda.

Catra will return with a bright pink lion
people are dumb and accuse She-Ra of ripping off Steven Universe when Clawdeen was the original pink lion

Attached: Clawdeen.jpg (763x700, 307K)

>SJW-Ra
>Good
lol

Um, wow, why is this comic ripping off Steven Universe? What the fuck?

The story arc of Catra and Adora going from friends to enemies was excellent. Cartoons need more tragedy.

Attached: 3_6.png (1664x938, 927K)

It's mediocre. But, telling the truth won't get people angry in this case.

>second to Hilda
HA

desu I realized that I mostly keep watching for the bad guys
I mean I don't hate She-Ra/Adora but if she didn't have that complicated relationship with Catra she's be only half as interesting

also certain parts of the fandom are cancer

Attached: dement09.jpg (1280x905, 418K)

>It's mediocre. But, telling the truth won't get people angry in this case.
probably they are taking out their hatred for the series creator, even tho nothing that supports her controversial remarks is shown in the series

>desu I realized that I mostly keep watching for the bad guys
I kind of missed this in cartoons.
Consistent, reoccurring, entertaining villains who have as much presence as the heroes.

These days shows have arc villains, or really good mysterious villains but not as much of your your day to day badguy teams.
OK KO has it too but I cant think of many others.

>also certain parts of the fandom are cancer
>Not all of the fandom

Some parts are cool others try to look for problems where there aren't any
I'd consider this thread part of the fandom

She should surrender herself to Adora and become her sex slave.

Its her destiny.

I'm mostly watching this show for these two sperglords at this point.

It really starts to look like Bow is going to get cucked by an alien invader

Bow can't compete with cybernetic alien penis. A scientist has to investigate that shit.

Will Bow ever tell Perfuma that he's had a crush on Entrapta for forever?

It's fine, because it gives Glimmer a fighting chance to teleport out of the Friendzone.

Is this thread the cool part or the shit part?

The last show I can think of with a consistent team of villains like you describe is Jackie Chan Adventures, but there has to be a more recent one than that.

This, really. I only care about Entraptra and Hordak right now and what's going to happen to the Horde.

Attached: Catra Entrapta hair claws.jpg (960x1080, 417K)

Do you have that Webm of Catra hiding under sheets?

I want that whole scene drawn Simpsons style now.

I'm really curious where this "Hordak is a Clone of Horde Prime" may lead us?

He has to be a failed one.

Attached: 1547030915075.png (422x273, 167K)

>Willingly helps a dictator destroy the planet for no good reason
>Gets away with it because she's cute

She's a slut for science, and Hordak has tons of it. What are you expecting, her parents were robots? She'll most likely realize it's wrong to sell out your planet like that, but it would probably be too late.

I mean seasons 1 ultra-seducer Catra instead of season 2 raging bitch Catra.

Name two (2) straight white male characters who are likable and don't get brutally raped by a lizard every night.

I would rather talk about Carmen Sandiego.

I'm happy you moved it to second but Hilda ain't it either chief

She was tricked into thinking her friends bailed on her and she never cared about the war to begin with
As long as the Horde supplies her she’s complacent and desu the Horde does a better job of that then our Hero’s considering how hard it was for them to get her to do things or even participant in the war in the first place

He can't even insulate cables, he's definitely a failed one.

It'd be kinda cool if we actually got some clone drama with him though, where he has conflicts over if he's his own person or not.
He has science, princesses don't. It's really that simple.

I was kind of dissappointed because I thought Catra would start working to fulfill her own ambitions, and after throwing Shadow Weaver into a cell she'd prove herself a competent captain and if Hordak started to give her shit she'd decide is time to dethrone him.
She just turned out to be as pathetic and useless as Shadow Weaver had been telling her all this time.

look at this stupid fucking cat

Attached: 3f3ecc4746f553cbfe26a4ef3e47e0a3[1].jpg (800x685, 78K)

Turns out having the same goal as Shadow Weaver makes you fail like Shadow Weaver.

Were there even that many white guys in the original show?

It's called the pussy pass.

Season 2 felt like it was purposefully cut in half, I fucking hate it when they do that.

I'm surprised she was furry enough for Plague.

Climbing to the top is different from staying on top.

I'm really fascinated by the idea of Horde Prime's inner circle being made up of multiple clones of himself.

That's actually a really interesting sci-fi concept and I don't think I've seen it done before.

It was. In theory it means getting more frequent releases but I'm not sure how it'll shake out since they cut it at such a weird number. Will S3 be the finale of S2 and then the first few episodes of what would have been S3 under a 12 episode season?

HOLY FUCK!
DIVINE QUINTS?
THE HAND OF GOD ALMIGHTY BTFOS SJW-RA!

>Building up a partnership between the comic, side-character, amoral smart-girl and the big bad of the show
I love atypical relationships in stories

>Tfw you will never be Kyle and feast on lizard slit and hemipenis every night
Fucking Kyle, some people have all the luck...

Attached: 1486437265743.png (864x492, 201K)

To be fair, she didn't even have plans on becoming Force Captain at the beginning of the show. She got the position as a side-effect of trying to bring down Adora and undermining Shadow Weaver for personal reasons.

She got it because she's a hot mess, she also lost it because she's a hot mess.

>Last episode is called "Family Reunion" in French
>Think it's going to be a confrontation between Catra, Adora and Shadow Weaver, or maybe even an hint at/introduction to He-Man/Adora's true family through portal or First One shenanigans
>It's just an episode about Bow's gay dads
God fucking damn it.

Attached: HoratioIllustration.jpg (1920x1080, 156K)

I keep seeing people declare that Catra's going to be shipped off to Beast-Island, but I can't remember when that was mentioned.

Catra fucked up and lied but Shadow Weaver had to outright attack the Horde before she got arrested, and that was after a long time of being on Hordak's bad side.
I might be mis-remembering, but Shadow Weaver stumbling in weak and depleted in S1 gave me the impression she was getting the same sort of treatment that Catra got at the end of episode 7.

Also, does Hordak even have anyone to replace Catra with?
Entrapta is useful but I think even he can recognise that she's not going to do that particular job.

Source/Context?

I'm sure someone HAS done it before, but I've just never seen it.

Hordak has a nice smile.

There could be multiple Horde Prime clones, since The Horde controls most of the know galaxy, their supreme leader might have cloned himself thousands/millions of times just to keep operations running smoothly in the sectors of the galaxy. But, that's just asking for a coup from your clone selves sooner or later. So the bigger question is, did Horde Prime just clone one Hordak to be a successor to the throne, nix that idea as soon as he realized he didn't want to give up power and just sent him to another dimension to just get rid of a problem before it truly became an issue?

>has a near pathological need to succeed and is fixated on failure
He's a clone of a galactic leader, so he'd most definitely have the wish to be successful. The fixation on failure could be three reasons:

1. He failed a mission and wants to prove himself to HPrime after he was sent to Despandos.

2. He had a sign of weakness that made HPrime reconsider this clone and threw him away like a reject.

3. He actually outlived his usefulness and was thrown out. But this one is suspect, because if he knew he was gotten rid of in that manner, why would he come back?

This Horatio is disgusted, but not surprised, there are still humans in this pathetic rock who have yet to bask in Horatio's glory.
Go. Play Endless Space. Educate yourself.

endless space, the Horatio is a race made up of clones of one guy called Horatio

It was not explicitly stated. Based on Hordak's little speech while suffocating Catra and the establishment of Beast Island as where the Horde sends people once they've outlived their usefulness, it would make sense for her to be sent there.

I like that they gave him more expression this season. It's endearing.

Attached: 1556871773510.png (403x402, 178K)

plot lines in the Princess side of the show:
>UHG MOM WHY WONT YOU LET ME FIGHT IN A WAR EVEN THOUGH I CAN'T RELIABLY CONTROL MY POWERS
>the princesses have one unfavorable mission, so they all leave glimmer's kingdom to be destroyed because low morale, but power of friendship to save it at the last minute!
>I didn't tell my dads I'm fighting in a war and we need to have a wacky episode pretending to be from a school!
>ooOOOoooh spooky hologram ghosts! zoinks!

Meanwhile in the horde:
>Shadow Weaver, Adora, and Catra stuck in some fucked up A Child Called It like relationship
>actually takes the war seriously, are in a military.
>a scientist who understands that morals and ethics exist, but struggles to understand them and often ignores them in favor of technological advancement
>Hordak doesn't seem to even care about conquest or running an empire, may just want to get home?

The only compelling character on the Princess side is Adora, and she was originally horde too.

Hordak has force choked her twice now, people kind of assume that's the limit. Unlike Shadow Weaver who was kept around because Catra wanted it, there's no reason to imprison Catra either.
They'll probably introduce Octavia to take her place as captain. She was in the recently released book, the original series and the background of a few episodes.

Attached: Octavia_Render.png (1264x1079, 484K)

Anyone else kind of actually impressed how they're doing with grey morality in this show? Kinda feels like they're doing what Voltron failed at with making sympathetic villains.
I wasn't really into the show at the beginning but I was enjoying it quite a bit by the end of season 1. There are some actual compelling character dynamics going on, and it keeps surprising me with some choices.

Attached: 1522286575678.png (1716x775, 2.32M)

>where the Horde sends people once they've outlived their usefulness
Narrative wise, isn't it a little too early for that?
I feel like we should get another 6 episodes of Catra's workplace abuse before that happens.

>the princesses have one unfavorable mission
To be fair, someone did die, or so they thought. Honestly, maybe they should have made a bigger deal of of it. Maybe focused more on them coming to terms with the real threat of death.
It is there but being more explicit about it might help raise the stakes.

>Anyone else kind of actually impressed how they're doing with grey morality in this show?
I wouldn't call this grey morality, the horde is clearly depicted as unquestionably bad and unhealthy, and the Princesspalities are unquestionably good.
They've just taken the time to humanise all of their villains. Which is good. Suited Shakespeare just fine.

Grey morality is great but hard to pull off in tv shows with high stake conflicts. Having grey morality means having the heroes and villains on a similar enough morality, which risks unsympathetic protagonists. That's doubly difficult in a kids tv show.

She-ra's playing within it's means and honestly, I'm grateful for it.

>the Horde take the war seriously
Those silly fucks sit around in a city made of decaying infrastructure and perform small scale attacks with no attacks using some of the worst weaponry I've ever seen. A net is the most advanced piece of technology they have, due to complete misapplication they'd be better off using spears and slings than whatever the fuck sort of shiny green punches they have loaded in those firearms.

Their robots are such a fucking failure it's not even funny. They showed Bow prying one open, which he should not be able to do, and the metal was hilariously thick. If he's able to instakill those things with a primitive recurve then the horde needs to just surrender.

Attached: Stop There And Let Me Love You.jpg (835x678, 65K)

How long before Hordak decides to bring in the big guns? In the original series, he had a massive spaceship that can leveled cities from a far but She Ra and He Man crashed it to the ground

Hopefully Entraptra will make some better tech. But really though, The Horde on this planet seemed to have gotten too sure of their abilities/tech and are underestimating their enemies and overestimating themselves.

>Let's talk about She-Ra, the second best debut series of 2018 next to Hilda.
How does it feel having no testicles OP

He has to get them to the planet first, which is why he's been building a portal. I can't help but think that he only has the bare bones essentials when it comes to conquering this world, relatively to The Horde faction as a whole. Right now, Hordak wants to get out of this dimension.

Unless I'm looking at it wrong, which I might be.

To be fair, Hordak barely seems to be paying attention to the conquering the last two second in command's where more concerned with their own agendas and issues.

Imp might be the only thing standing in the way of coup.

According to that bio, that's what the portals are for.

She-Ra 2018 is a show about how lesbians ruin everything.

Lesbians have been fixing everything on the show.

I bet Mara fucked up everything trying to save her girlfriend.

I want to time travel and rescue babby Catra from her pitiful childhood, and raise her to be the good girl she was always destined to be.

This is Glimmer
She is very cute
I want to give her a hug

Attached: glim glim.png (571x538, 325K)

If by "fixing" you mean "ruining" then yes.

>shot of Shadow Weaver without mask
>"tell Hordak I know how to beat the rebellion"
>cut to Shadow Weaver still in her cell
Who in the actual fuck is the second Shadow Weaver and does anyone have a screenshot of her?

Glimmer is canonically okay with murdering someone if they are evil.

Maskless bit was part of her flashback. Yeah, I took a doubletake because it was very poorly conveyed.

I never watched He-Man and I know nothing about She-Ra, is the show worth getting into?

Attached: 1515820510817.jpg (720x960, 97K)

And that's a good thing.

Attached: JUST GOU FOR IT.webm (674x380, 2.51M)

The show's a standalone reboot/reimagining and requires no prior knowledge of Masters of the Universe lore. That said, you have to know you're getting yourself into a little girls' show about rainbow-colored princesses saving the day with the power of friendship. If you're ok with that I'd say go for it.

Mara was just saving the universe from the crazy robot lady

Look, have She-Ra and the cat lady fucked yet? If not, get back to me when they do.

Next season for sure!

Catra will totally be greatful to Adora for saving her and not fall into angsty depression and resentment.

Is that really all there is for the second season? It was a lot shorter than the first.

Yeah, for some reason they think shorter seasons but quicker release schedule is a good model even though it leaves seasons feeling incomplete with odd stopping points.

>the second best debut series of 2018 next to Hilda.

I'm hope everything turns out okay for you buddy, just because your parents hate you and nobody wants to be your friend doesn't mean that everything's over

Did they hardcore slash the budget in this season? Season 1 wasn't great with the animation but it seemed to have some heart behind hit, this season just felt stiff and flat for the vast majority of it, I can't even really think of a standout animation moment that feels like they focused the budget into it. With how short it was, you'd think they'd be able to spend more on less.

I dunno, its weird seeing the art design stay but the animation get so rocky. Usually this level of downgrade happens with a change of team or artystyle, like OPM.

Glimmer being incredibly socially awkward without being able to follow around her one actual friend, Bow, at the ball, and thus spent the entire social gathering moping in seclusion, hit way too close to home.

Probably a budget thing, I noticed Young Justice had the same level of downgrade from season 2 after its revival. Not to this degree, but its a very noticeable shift. Are there actually toys for this thing or is this coasting on Netbux alone? Even Voltron got toys.

YJ also didn't really have a big standout animation moment.

Maybe the west doesn't get Sakuga.

it's fine Bow will forgive her for fucking the enemy and she'll return to the princesses without repercussions until the next alien invader comes around and she ditches them for another higher evolved being

what happens when Hordak kills Emily

Entrapta will learn that friendship truly was magic after all when she realizes that first ones tech IS magic and the rebellion needs her to complete the circle to unlock the planet's true technological potential

Wonder if all those silhouettes will end up being real princesses.

wonder what happened to fire princess- also the only one with a corrupted rune stone

now that I think about it I can't really see Entrapta in that picture either and her silhouette should be very recognizable but I see no baggy pans and huge twin-tails

Entrapta's not an elemental princess, she doesn't have a gemstone. It was mentioned in one of the episodes, but I don't remember which one.

>elemental princess
TIL Cat and Scorpion are an element

I enjoy Catra fanart but I'm never watching this

I'm in it for Kronk.

It's kinda like in Shadow Raiders where "bone" and "prison" were elements

Nice. Thanks for posting.

>She-Ra we have to get to Beast Island to get the element of prison-princess

she still has Emily
and those two/three other guys who probably hose her down like once or twice a week with a water hose

The one in the kitchen isn't the same as the one sitting in Entraptra's room. Isn't that how it's supposed to be? How many nerds have multiple kinds of snack foods lined up?

Okay, I've been avoiding this, but I'm starting to get curious. A have a few things I need to ask.
>Does this go into bad writing, like other Netflix reboots, like Voltron or Deathnote?
>Does the fandom shit on each other and the staff, and vice versa, for no real reason, like Steven Universe and Star Vs.?
>Do they take straight/gay characters and make them Bi for fetish reasons, like Adventure Time or Korra?

I don't think it has been made clear yet if every elemental princess has a Runestone but not every princess with a Runestone can be considered an elemental princess, or the other way around. Glimmer relies on a runestone but I don't think teleportation would be considered an element, unless that's just the only spell she knows from a broader branch of magic.

But Scorpia is a mystery. She "has" a runestone, so I would assume that like other princesses with one she relies on it for her powers. But since it doesn't seem like she has ever used it or has even shown any interest in it I think we can assume that she can't access whatever super power she has. Maybe her element is something like poison? But really she could be an airbender for all we know.

If this Hordak was such an astronomical failure he was banished to another dimension it might have been something like this.

Attached: Now look at this Netossa that I just found.png (523x286, 416K)

>Season 1 wasn't great with the animation but it seemed to have some heart behind hit, this season just felt stiff and flat for the vast majority of it
Wow holy fuck, as if I needed another reason to not continue with this show. Season 1 was horrendous in terms of production quality. Is it just little more than stop-motion paper cutouts now? Entrapta was the main reason I watched but even she's not cute enough for this shit.

Attached: 1554287434479.jpg (222x336, 39K)

I didn't really notice anything like that.
And on the other hand, season 1 got really obnoxious and annoying in terms of writing in some places. Season 2 has much less of it.

Attached: yes.gif (640x368, 3.96M)

Catra overthrows Hordak

She fought shadow weaver so maybe she can fight hordak

I've been re-watching season 1, and it reminded me of how Castaspella is the best girl after all.
I wish we had more of her in season 2. If we had any less, she'd be on par with fucking spinarella.

Attached: She-Ra.And.The.Princesses.Of.Power.S01E07.1080p.WEB.x264-CRiMSON.mkv_snapshot_08.28_[2019.05.05_12.2 (1920x1080, 1.83M)

reminder that Hordak still has his power armor and his little asphyxiation chamber

>Defeats Shadow Weaver by memorizing her attack patterns based on all those times she was beaten by her
>Is going to learn how to control her breathing from all those times Hordak removed air to punish her
Catra has learned to weaponize her own suffering.

I noticed less mistakes and stiffness in this Season. Some of the fights even looked good.

Not any time soon

>Does this go into bad writing, like other Netflix reboots, like Voltron or Deathnote?
The writing has some weak points but nothing that really breaks the suspension of disbelief. Nothing horrifyingly retarded has happened yet. Except maybe the tendency to take prisoners instead of killing the enemy army.
>Does the fandom shit on each other and the staff, and vice versa, for no real reason, like Steven Universe and Star Vs.?
There's shipping.
>Do they take straight/gay characters and make them Bi for fetish reasons, like Adventure Time or Korra?
Adora and Catra may be gay for each other or have a strong sisterly bond, depending on who you ask. Bow has shown interest in Perfuma and Sea Hawk but these are limited to one episode. Entrapta was seeming asexual but there's a clear hint of technophile to her. Mermista seems straight, she's on again off again with Sea Hawk but she's also shown an interest in She-Ra but this is likely non-romantic and leans more towards hero worship/fangirlism. Scoripa is super thirsty for Catra. Kyle is a scalely and pounds Rogelio's cloaca on the reg. Glimmer and Frosta have a mentor/mentee relationship and anyone who says otherwise is a degenerate.

>mentor/mentee
I see it more like little sister and big sister
Angella should adopt Frosta

Not really
Not really
Yes, there are implied bisexual characters, and widespread shipbaiting

Castaspella's VA (Sandra Oh) is probably expensive so they can't use her very often.

Yay, sweater aunt. I'd wear whatever she knits.

AHEM

the quids don't lie, user

The second season is the biggest train wreck i have ever seen

Kingdom hearts kind of did that, but it was only like half of the inner circle

That's a good point, with Shadow Weaver gone perhaps Hordak will let Scorpia use her own runestone again? Unless him preventing their use of the runestone is what keeps their kingdom in line.

and it's sad, because her acting is the best part about the character. She does a fantastic job, the animation doesn't even begin to reflect how fun her personality is

May the 4th was yesterday. Did you skip "The last Jedi"?

>so I would assume that like other princesses with one she relies on it for her powers
she explained in season 1 that her family handed the runestone over to Hordak several generations ago and she has no innate connection to it. she could probably get one

Wasn't the best but there are way worst seasons in other shows, Like Voltron or Star Vs,

Kingdom Hearts- The only story where all the human characters are eventually revealed to be versions of the same three characters

I wonder who the gap between Glimmer and yellow is.

Huh, there's something nobody seems to have noticed yet:
Why are Angella and Glimmer both there?
Should they both count as one princess, since they share the same runestone?

Attached: She-Ra.And.The.Princesses.Of.Power.S01E05.1080p.WEB.x264-CRiMSON.mkv_snapshot_15.06_[2019.04.10_04.1 (1920x1080, 805K)

Glimmer took her dad's spot and Angella is like an immortal goddess?

Scorpia's element is Big Gay Energy

What is sakuga?

>Glimmer took her dad's spot
Her dad was a sorcerer, not a princess.
Mysticor does not have a runestone

>Men can't be princesses
That's not very progressive (Though Perfuma looks kind of manish, maybe she's trans, and I'm really hoping Bow becomes a princess in the end).

Bow is the princess of the element of surprise

japanese animation philosophy where you cut corners and have cheap sub-par animation by default then spend all the money you saved doing that on big flashy well-animated action scenes and similar such emotional climaxes, as opposed to having consistent animation quality

Its basically animation that is incredibly smooth and detailed that you can feel the effort behind the animation

>Glimmers aunt and Bow's dad

Yes.

>Dat filename

imagine Hordak mixes up Entrapta and Imp and starts petting the wrong one

i don't think entrapta would care

I legit, want to see where the fuck this is going. I know it's not gonna be romance or anything like that, but I'm really interested in seeing their dynamic play out in the next season or longer.

They're both scientifically inclined, but Entraptra sees her failures as another point in the right direction to progress and Hordak is called "A failure obsessed clone" and hates failures and sees it as something that has to be culled and punished. Will Entraptra rub off on Hordak and instill some sense of failure isn't the end all-be all, or will she learn to be more ruthless and unforgiving as Hordak?

>Implying Imp won't be jealous.
Pets get mad as hell when they think someone's replacing them.

>Pet
>Implying Imp isn't the true mastermind

A third option.

Catra and Lapis would totally be friends. Or Catra and Jasper?

Lapis. Jasper is Scorpia, and Peridot is Entrapta.

Wew, that's some good numbers. I would absolutely let Entrapta blow up the planet for like, a hairjob.

One-half hyperspace bypass, one-half flame-licked "Slim Piken's rides the bomb"-style motorized angry-sex in the planetary remains.

This guy gets it.
Fuck evil people.

>Hordak is a clone
>Imp's true boss is Horde Prime and will be reporting on Hordak as much as he does the rest of the ranks
Considering they where best buds in OG, it'd be kind of sad

Evil people need love, too.

There weren't that many straight guys on the original show.

All evil people need is a swift death.

Well, I want to make her into my greasy slampiglet, and do things to her butthole that make her feel dirty and weird.

If Hilda is lucky it might crack the 5th spot on best show last year

>that slow turn at the end
You know what you did.
