I propose to use this thread for a productive discussion OP on the Homestuck story. The topic: how actual post session society would work without the guidance of the players.
Now, where ever you wish to check off on the canon story (the stupid ass frog), the Snapchat credits, or the epilogues (which are more like prologues), is up to you. But the fact of the matter is we do have an idea of troll society before the comics quality quickly declined.
My argument is that since the very beginning, in any state of canon post game, troll society would be incompatible with any other. They can outbreed most species, with their species self segregating themselves at the genetic level (blue bloods literally shit on anything below green, let alone straight up purple), and are in canon able to develop space flight technology.

Irrelevant. The batch of trolls who made it to the end are better than most in terms of civility, but are still used to the concepts of Alternia society. Plus, without the dream bubbles, there is no means of having direct information about said society or its models.
In short, if we take the Snapchat credit ending as a universal canon end, we can assume that it is wrong. The players lay the seeds of society and civilization with the various races and promptly fuck off into the future. But this is wrong, at best the troll society and humans should have genocided each other in the 5000 year gap, or at the very least a world government should not be possible.

Am I unclear? I did have little to no sleep. I’m just a bit grumpy with the depiction of how peaceful and idyllic Earth C is in both depictions. I don’t want to be all /pol/ tier here, but Hussie can’t sell the idea to me that in either incarnation, the trolls, humans, and lesser races, are able to coexist peacefully for 5000 years without conflict. Shit as terrible as the epilogues are, I’m more bother by how this supposed world government literally degraded into dictatorship and genocide AFTER the players come back for a few years and want to play politic.

I mean, the epilogues rant at length at how awful and xenophobic Jane is, but she’s not wrong!
At no point is there any indication that the trolls won’t rapidly outbreed and exterminate any other species they cohabit with, nor is a ‘morally right’ solution to this problem ever provided. We’ve spent the decade reading about how ludicrously violent trolls are on the genetic level. The fucking epilogues themselves reference their natural martial prowess and aggressiveness.
How is Jane not completely justified in her concerns?

I guess the question is whether Dirk can control Terezi, and it's left ambiguous in Meat. He has to persuade her to go with him by using John as a gambling chip, but it's portrayed as though he can write her thoughts. Even when she doesn't exactly seem to be controlled by him it isn't explicitly stayed that she is.
One of the biggest things I've heard people say is that she heard Dirk shit talk John to his very death, but he never picks up if she's angry at him or not. Can he only guess what she's thinking?

See that’s the problem though, the fact the kids who are immortal and those who aren’t (Karkat and Kanaya? No wait she’s a vampire I think. Just Karkat.) should have at least followed the Earth C society as close as possible, maybe time warp Karkat 5000 years in the future to avoid dying I guess idk. But even under the god rule of the earth, how can we trust literal socially inept teenagers to be competent rulers, or not teen squabble into adult bickering. I don’t like the epilogue as much as the next user, but I think it does at least admit that the core friends will splinter into their own factions.
So how could this all be avoided? They captchalogued the denizens planets, or at least the main fours, so the consorts can live out their lives in relative peace. I don’t recall if they saved derse and prospit though, but I’m pretty sure those are killed. But human and chess people society seems pretty compatible. My idea would have been to send the trolls to their own planet. I mean, there’s no rush really. But again, they can develop space flight, so who’s to say in the next 2000 years, they just wouldn’t be a bigger problem.
