I get that she's 12 but 12 year olds in real life can learn and grow and have actual empathy. Dipper is 12 and still has a consistent character development that doesn't just solve itself in the finale like Mabel's. Northwest Mystery Manor was one of the best episodes in the whole series because it explicitly showcases Dipper's growth as a character throughout the show. He we went from a social train wreck to a snarky, savvy paranormal guy. Meanwhile Mabel started and ended as the exact same character, never really given a chance to show how she's grown in ANY way.
