This is the 3rd Aladdin thread today.
What's going on here?

Someone's trying to insist that Tangled's TV series is better than Aladdin's. Personally, I don't really care about either.

i haven't seen either

Did Genie reverse-bimboficate that random shopper?

Dan's Genie just sounds like Homer to me.

He made her fat for no reason.

I guess some people remember Return of Jafar better just because it was the first sequel, but anytime I hear someone actually talk about the sequels' merits, they tend to praise King of Thieves and just shrug off Return of Jafar.

Is it me or was the animation in Aladdin and the King of Thieves better as well? Like a step up from the show, though nowhere near the original.

The thing Ive never understood about Jafar is why is his neck a different color than his face? Does he exclusivley only tan on his face and his neck stays pale, or does he have some kind of huge turtleneck shirt that comes up and covers his neck? It looks like it comes up and wraps around his head too?

I'm still sad that they scrapped the idea of Mozenrath being Aladdin's brother.

I preferred it as a kid because I was a fan of "Villain from previous movie returns for revenge" plots. I haven't watched wither in a long time, but I think I would like King of Thieves more now.

Pretty sure it's cloth.

It’s a turtleneck of sorts.

Return of Jafar had some good songs, you got the Iago redemption arc and some quality sub villains that led into the TV show which was good. Man, I remember watching the TV every morning before going to school back when I was in first grade. So you have to take it in context.

While King of Thieves had some good songs and visuals, it had lesser villains and was more of a conclusion than anything.

You know the real crime though?
No porn of Jafar turning into Jasmine and making her watch him fucking Aladdin

Nope

Jafar was the first trans villain.

Doubt.

I have never met anyone who thinks this.

Return of Jafar is fine if you take it for what it is - three episodes of the animated series pasted together and thrown onto a VHS tape that made over a billion dollars in revenue.

I didn't notice a dramatic difference honestly. I'd argue the first had some more fluid moments of animation (like Genie rescuing Al in the climax), even if the animation on the whole was inconsistent and muddy compared to even the series that succeeded it.

Why not?
