lmao why is Odin such a nigger to thor

It's because it sux

Is this show on blu-ray?

Probably because it’s bad

Those flat colors look absolutely terrible

That's not available in my country

jesus that looks awful

Because it's the literal definition of a soulless cashgrab that doesn't even perform its job of referencing the movies ad nauseam very well.

Because the show is extremely boring and feels like a commercial for MCU toys

I would agree you.The first half of Season 1 is pretty eh. But I decided to keep watching it and half way through it got better. It not EMH level but it has its moments.

>no one talking about Marvel doing a 24/7 stream of literal fucking feces
GEE I WONDER WHY
Wake me up if they start streaming Earth's Mightiest Heroes instead

Attached: glorious american animation.gif (410x230, 1.33M)

Because Marvel Animation is trash, the cartoon plots are trash, and it failed to capture an audience.

Also one of their own animators called it "trash"
>youtu.be/IttvJRFgFJo?t=226

>Animated Marvel
No thanks.

Attached: 1556817717470.png (637x483, 194K)

That show has "animators"? I figured it was just a bunch of interns moving character models around over static backgrounds in Power Point.

Attached: Superior Western Animation.gif (400x225, 2.36M)

Some animated Marvel (Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers EMH, Silver Surfer, Thor: Tales of Asgard) is good, some of it (Spider-Man TAS, X-Men TAS, X-Men Revolution, Iron Man AA) is decent, some of it (all their 60's shows) has its charm.

Avengers Ass and, really, any of their collaborative work with MoA, is none of this though.

That was the pilot, most of the show is not nearly that bad. Not good, but the pilot's animation is just embarrassing, I have no idea how the fuck that was allowed.

What about Agents of Smash? I honestly thought that show was better then it had any right to be. Probably better then Avengers Assemble and Ultimate Spiderman(not that that is hard)

>What about Agents of Smash
Dropped one episode in, it was trash. Like every MoA shows, I tried giving it another chance later on because people like you kept defending them all, picked up the first episode of the most recent season, still trash.

God, still mad EMH died for this

Attached: 4c9c21303db3082fa92414506f28dc89.png (500x335, 184K)

Mostly Korean animators and the non-Koreans animators just do storyboarding. But the guy explains the cartoon was trash because how Marvel Animation was managed and the way they told the Koreans to do it made it so the cartoon would come out poorly and it was made cheaply. Like the Koreans could probably do a better job and it showed in some scenes in this trash cartoon when sometimes you would have an action scene and it would jump a bit in quality but then go back to being trash.

Also Marvel Animation ended up failing so bad and they didn't tell their staff until it was too late and people found out they were losing their jobs.

Jeph Loeb is also a shit showrunner and producer, ther eis a reason they fired him and Jesse Alexander from Heroes and why Inhumans came out so fucking cheap and why a lot of the Netflix shows are trash.

When Super Hero Squad came out I thought it was awful and cheap looking but god it's honestly more entertaining than Avengers Assemble and actually has funny jokes.

Most of these new shows were trash, I guess Panther Quest was decent but then the animation was horrible and then the fugitive BP arc fucked it over.

Years later it still hurts.

I will never not be furious. At least one more season to finish up the Surtur plot would have been all I wanted.

Attached: Avengers EMH Season 2 Episode 8 The Ballad of Beta Ray Bill.mkv_snapshot_13.59_[2018.12.30_03.20.40] (1280x720, 157K)

I am mad that half of the second season was tainted by Loeb and MoA.

At least Yost got to write the end.

Can we just poke at Disney to bring it back on Disney+ like the YJfags did with DC?

One more season to redeem/rehabilitate best boy. Pym was right, the Avengers' treatment of mentally unstable super-villains only served to perpetuate the cycle of violence.

Attached: hankjan.jpg (871x768, 159K)

Could have been Marvel's DCAU but Marvel went full retarded thinking Synergy would make the shows more popular but their ratings were shit and it's partially why Marvel Animation died.

>Captain Marvel with magical girl transformations and doing the 'gotta keep my identity secret' plot element
>board driven show

Okay I know this guy did it on a whim but I'm glad this did not get picked up. I shudder to think what some of the other pitches must've been like.

Attached: 1470531873780.jpg (684x513, 53K)

Can Disney Plus bring back Earth Mightiest Heroes?

Attached: DearDisneyPlus.jpg (1547x1030, 83K)

What makes EMH so good is that its goal was to make people want to pick up a 60's-80's Avengers comic, while Assemble wants to make people pick up an MCU DVD.

It's not even that it died that makes me mad. I mean, that's bad, but everything has to die someday, even if it's premature and untimely.

It's that they had to chop the animation budget and take away the second half of the last season from the writers. Like, you couldn't even just let them end their own show how they want to?

Wasn't it some of Loeb's fault too? He was the one peddling the 'kids don't care about story plots' shit after EMH and look what happened.

Do you honestly believe anyone in the hierarchy gives a single flying fuck about Marvel cartoons after nearly a decade of shitting out low-effort MoA garbage? You just know that even if they made an attempt at reviving EMH it'd still be minimum effort cheap garbage, Marvel is the king of shitting out nickel-and-dimed awful cartoons that age like already-rotten milk and EMH was a fluke.

The music is incredibly bland too. It just all adds up to a really boring show despite whatever is happening on screen.

>while Assemble wants to make people pick up an MCU DVD.
You got it backward, Assemble's goal is to make people THAT ALREADY PICKED UP AN MCU DVD go "I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE!" "I CLAPPED WHEN HULK CALLED THOR PUNY AND PUNCHED HIM!", "OH MY GOD IS THIS AVENGERS™: AGE OF ULTRON™'S ULTRON™?! I KNOW THIS GUY!"

The cartoon is nothing but a long stream of movie "references" (read quips and gags stripped whole directly from the movie) stringed together to make movieonly consumers go "FINALLY! A MARVEL CARTOON FOR ME!"

Isn't this just the Black Panther show now?

Yeah she even had an Ai cat named Wendy, it wasn't very original
>youtube.com/watch?v=T_idMYBDnbU

Also Carol working as Darren Cross' bodyguard, honestly her job as the head of security at Cape Canaveral would have been perfect.

It's a crying shame. The staff seemed like they loved working on it and that they had so many new ideas. Marvel finally has their JLU and they throw it under the buss for garbage. I mean just think about what we could have gotten

>A F4 adventure or two
>Dr Strange and venture into the mystic side of things.
>Return of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Michael Korvac
>Beta Ray Bill and the battle with Surtur

Attached: f4.jpg (1311x738, 814K)

Only Season 1 -3

Don't know why they didn't included Secret Wars or BP. They just throw in just for shit n giggles.

That show has no goodwill going for it. It replaced Avengers: EMH and I think a lot of people are still bitter over it. I remember giving Avengers Assemble a chance when it was first released; I watched its first episode or so because I hoped that it might still be good. But the art style, animation, writing and characterization were unappealing, so I gave up and never bothered to look into the show afterwards. Judging by how rarely we have threads about it, I think a lot of other people had a similar reaction.
Also, that stream has a region-block and I wouldn't be able to watch it even if I wanted to.

It's just tragic to see a show that, while updating the classics for a new audience, isn't ashamed of it's comic origins. And not even in an eye winking campy Brave and the Bold kind of way. It was the truest kind of adaptation a comic cartoon could have gotten.

Because that show sucks

>Do you honestly believe anyone in the hierarchy gives a single flying fuck about Marvel cartoons after nearly a decade of shitting out low-effort MoA garbage?
No which is why they should fucking take the animation part off from Marvel Entertainment like it's being done with the video game division and just having other studios that specialize in it handle it.

Because Marvel Entertainment has been fucking really bad, even Loeb now is fucking doing adult comedy oriented cartoons for Hulu and they sound horrible.

>while Assemble wants to make people pick up an MCU DVD.
The movies do that just fine, I guess they wanted to cash grab on the movies' popularity but fucking no one cared.

>fucking no one cared.
Somebody MUST care. You don't keep a show going for 5 (FIVE) whole seasons if nobody's watching it. Now, as to WHO cares about this show, I honestly have no idea. Casuals only care about the movies, not kiddy cartoons, I don't see the drab colors attracting the kids either, and hardcore nerds hate it because it's an obvious low-effort cashgrab that killed a genuinely good show, even the crew working on it don't care about it, so I don't know who's left to care, but there must be someone.

>'kids don't care about story plots

that's what adults think

Didn't certain plot lines in the 90s Spidey and X-men shows last multiple seasons even going into XX roman numerals?

Ah yes who could forget when this brilliant show adapted Infinite Gauntlet and had Thanos be defeated by Tony's childhood robot.

Also not Avengers Assemble but their new Spider-Man cartoon had him and the Guardiand fight and defeat Carnage Thanos.
>youtu.be/V7l8oJxcGH4

Too bad I couldn't find the clip where Drax and Gamora do the Naruto run.

Are there even fanarts of Marvel Animations (Avengers Assemble, Guardians) at this point?

Even R34/porn rather do NSFW EMH than that

why the colors are so dull in this?!

Ratings for this show were always average to low, the GotG cartoon had abysmal ratings, I think Agents of SMASH managed to do pretty good but I am not sure.

Don't know about Ultimate Spider-Man but the new one is a dud.

AIIIIIMMMMGROOT.

Attached: cat disgust.gif (400x303, 1.9M)

I'm glad it's dead, but sad there's nothing great to replace it with.

Everything is dull and lifeless in this. The animation is dull, the colors are dull, the music is dull, the writing is dull, even the fucking sound mixing is dull.

God I nutted so hard to her so many times, what absolute perfection.

Attached: 1554102294769.gif (250x250, 177K)

Literally the only good thing Marvel has done in animation
>B-But muh spider-man!
Nah. People circlejerk it because spider-mans popular, thats all.

Because it's shit

The reason is because with a property as massive as Marvel, you HAVE to have a show going at all times, and it just makes more sense to keep one going rather than spend more money developing new ones.

This is why you have seasons like the Black Panther one, where obviously they should have just made a brand new BP show, but it was much more efficient to just make the new season BP focused.

Plus if you get to 100 episodes you enter syndication.

Haven't you heard? Real is dull!

>Real is dull!
Ill say.

Attached: 1338678877368.jpg (136x198, 25K)

This, I cared a lot about the stories, I was very into The Phoenix saga when X-MEN TAS aired it and I was around 7 to 8 years old when I saw it. Even when the Dark Phoenix stuff happened I was into it.

God I am having nostalgia for that cartoon now, even if it didn't age well it did a lot of fun shit.

Like the episode with the Shadow King is the one I remember the most

Shit quality free streaming it is, I guess.

Even from a design angle the series was down right Kirby as fuck. Dots everywhere. Outlandish and fantasist designs and sets. It was great.

X-men animated was also good

>dat animation
Holy shit why is this so bad

Yeah, I've got a lot better copies of the series today.
Kinda ashamed I don't have it on DVD, though. I do tend to buy stuff that I enjoy in the hopes it makes enough money to warrant more works on the franchise, but all I ever saw of this series were those single discs with a handful of episodes on them rather than a boxset of the full show.

Am I misremembering, or did the intro always update to reflect who was actually in the team? I remember something was tearing the team apart in one arc (Skrulls?) and the team was shrinking in the intro.

Hollyshit is this a modern version of the Hanna Barbera quality?

We didn't want the Dkeks to feel even worse than they already do

You remember correctly, it always did and it was sweet as hell

The Masters of Evil were such kino villains, especially the set-up to it all.

I don't mind bad animation as long as the story is good, but these are made for ADD toddlers.

The intro had the team members that show up in that episode, they even had a unique version when the avengers where "killed" and a whole new team had to be formed.

Man this show had Wolverine killing velociraptors, how can the new show even compete?

Attached: latest[1].png (665x646, 400K)

That's complete bullshit, though. The Avengers showed up often and were even shoehorned in a lot of plots. Cap was the most recurring Avenger and the most important apart from BP himself. Hell, they barely touched on BP villains and characters at all. Only White Wolf and Zanda were the only BP characters not related to the MCU. Everything else was MCU and Avengers tie-ins and characters.

>sjw characters
no thanks

Fucking Drake Bell, dubbing over Keaton

me too
never knew much about ant-man and wasp but this who made me love those two characters

>My ovipositor is warm, wet and ready to have you forcibly ram your Giant Man inside and lay your eggs in my womb.
>lol no way fag

Agents of Smash it's so bad it doesn't care about being bad and elevates itself as a work of art.

You mean with the female empowerment and black empowerment stuff?

More like adults don't care about story plots, given how crap most of modern live-action TV is currently.

Better yet, the pilot is the best example? How do the Avengers get formed? New Avengers. Which Avengers? The original line-up. Who do they fight? Graviton.
Goldmine of creativity, not afraid to go too out there and treat it with maturity. Heck, they even fixed recent plotlines like Secret Invasion.

'member 90's Spider-Man TAS?

Hell, Disney is now OK with Sony handling new Spider-Man cartoons. This crap sucks so bad that Disney just gave up and gave Sony the Spidey license back for TV cartoons, they figured they really couldn't fuck up as hard as Marvel Animation did even if they tried.

Sure, those were big in hispanic countries, it was just like a telenovela.

>Wanting to watch nothing but Avengers Assemble for hours.

Who wants that? What kind of masochist horse shit is this?

Attached: cardboard avengers is dynamic better.gif (432x243, 2.94M)

It's ironic that Marvel animation became crap, once DISNEY bought it.

>Who wants that?

>search Avengers Assemble on yt
>AA ep {(HINDI SUB)}

Figures it'd be the poo.

I would have loved a Spider-Man cartoon set in the Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes universe especially after he appeared

>Voiced by Drake Bell
No thanks.

Spectacular was canon to EMH. Keaton originally voiced lines for Peter but once new management took over they hired Drake Bell to dub over it to help promote the then upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon

I’m still mad

what DIDNT ??

>Spectacular was canon to EMH
Literally, legally impossible. Sony still had the rights to Spectacular (and probably still do) and this was long before they decided to play ball with Marvel. Keaton first voicing Peter was just because he's used to and good at the role, or because the producers liked his performance in Spectacular, but it certainly did NOT mean Spectacular was canon to EMH.

The flat colors just accentuate a larger problem; the art is just really bland in general. It's the worst type of realism; the kind that waters real life down so much that it looks less like real life than a calarts cartoon

Yost always thought so

Not exactly canon but they could always pretend events similar to the ones from Spectacular happened to that Peter Parker.

One day Marvel Animation will return to it's short but former glory.
Just Wait for my 7 season Spider-Man pitch, isn't that right Spider-Verse arc without the Inheritors but with Shathra leading Multiversal villains.

>This thread
One of the rare times Yea Forums has taste, also OP is a fag.

>also OP is a fag.
That isn't particularly rare.

EMH was the best Marvel show ever, and Assemble plus the other related shows (outside of many DTV movies both by Disney and Lionsgate) might be the worst Marvel cartoons. Ultimate Spider-Man's saving grace is that the Animation was good since they were done by Film Roman.

The japanese already do this with magical mommy Carol in their Avengers anime.

Out of the new era of Marvel, only Ultimate Spider-man was any good and it was like the Transfoerms Gen1 kind of good. Capmy with "What' with Andy" style of humour due to Bell's voice, excellent animation compared to all the other shows and a 3rd season that should have been the finale but returned for a fourth season where Spider-man became Optimus Prime with The Touch and turned the bad guys good and everyone lived happily ever after. Not as good as other shows but it was nowhere near as bad even claim it is. It reminded me more of my first Spider-man cartoon, Spider-man and his Amazing Friends.

Yeah, by the third season the show became good. People were still touchy (and some still are) after Spectacular's cancellation but the show wasn't the worst Spider-Man show (unlike EMH and Assemble). It was for just a short amount of time, but Ultimate sure delivered on Carnage.

I liked that they had Phil Lamar voice Doctor Spectrum for the Squadron Supreme

Spectacular being cancelled was a blow for sure but it was cursed with the Weissman curse, nothing you could do about it back then. When that and Green Lantern ended I was very sad.

Ultimate had a very slow start but I'd say it became good by season 2 and kept that momentum until it became a bit eh by season 4 but given what happened to the Avengers, it ended far,far more gracefully than AAssemble could ever hope to. The only good thing about Assemble is the top notch picks for voice actors of the characters with the exception of Tony Stark...Pasdar just tries way to hard to be RDJ when Eric Loomis did a fine job. No one's better than Robert Hayes though.

I remember Yost basically saying that officially it and Wolverine and the X-men couldn't be canon to EMH, but as far as he was concerned it was and wrote it as if those shows took place in the same universe, even if they couldn't be officially connected.

I couldn't stand that show because it abused the whole monkey screeching almost as bad as Johnny Test abused the whip sound effect.

>spoiler
Oh sure, he was the best. Aside from maybe 1994 Spider-Man, Ultimate was the first show to actually have a definitive ending.

Hulk VS too.

I still can't believe that exists and how fortunate we are that it does.

Can we just let Yost be in charge of everything?

Yes it was, had Lobe not interfered and fucked with things it could have become something even greater.

Theme tune sucked though.

Thanks for the tip dude.

God, the 1994 Spider-Man Secret War arc was fun.

The Avengers in cartoon form has no chemistry. Every Avengers cartoon is boring as sin and never really gets any better because they never make the characters standout on their own outside of the team, which makes the entire show feel boring like they are just 1 dimensional characters and their only reason for existing is for the cartoon itself.
