not denying that Dynamite had a dark time, but the earlier days of Vampirella was all about attacting top tier artists. Vampirella issue 1 had Neal Adams. Then you have some stuff from when Amanada Connor was good, and of course fucking Joe Jusko doing a short comic. And Dynamite has been fixing some of their mistakes from over the years. Putting everyone back in their traditional costumes again, and they have been getting better artists

What's a good place to look for monthly packs, if there is such a thing? I haven't read any comics for a couple of years, and it would be nice to be able to get everything from say January 2016 in one folder, then February 2016, and so on, rather than have to look up what was published and find each one individually.

There's none, I can only think of torrents but those are weekly stuff, you have to grab like 3 or sometimes more for any week (0-day marvel, 0-day DC and Hitlist)
Kaskus scaanlations has the more recent updates, that blogspot is good if you are looking for older stuff, but I would still check here for the better file hosts options.
GetComics almost always ignores European books and when he does have a page for them, it's when an entire series is complete and that's still rare.
Also check Azam's blogs for older stuff.

I don't mind waiting. I only want the Marvel books. They were all gone by the time I got to like 4 different stores. All I could find was the Deadly Class, Bloodshot and Interceptor (Reprint) FCBD issues.
That's two different sides of the same shitshow. XRA is sharper but Viz reads the proper way and has the subjectively better translation/typesetting. If he had flipped the scans there wouldn't be any contest, but I'm certainly not going to blame him for not wanting to flip every single piece of text as well.

Scanlations often have better translations as they're made by passionate fans instead of corporate employees working on deadlines. They're almost always better at pointing out translation notes in more detail and alongside chapters instead of tucking into the back of the volume (see: Golden Kamuy, Elf-san wa Yaserarenai). They feature bonus art pages from the magazines that never make it into the volumes. And most leave the original JP sound effects instead of drawing over them with bad english typesetting (see: Viz One Piece).
There are fantastic official english manga releases (Jojonium), but often the only advantage is higher image quality.

I worked on scanlations from 2011 until 2018 and I can tell you the translation used for this official release feels like something from the early 2000s
This is apparently book 3 of the series (and the last one in that edition). It's quite readable as a standalone book, you'll get the necessary details spelled out for you. I don't have the first two books and I'm not in any hurry to get them, so don't even try to request them.
It's his retelling of what happened on a solo mission ( he may have embellished a tad ). Sadly is was just a short back-up and the rest of the book wasn't nearly as amusing.

something unusual, remember those street fighters from the 90's by Malibu? Those were licensed in Brazil too, but after malibu went bust and no SF comic was produced in the US, Brazilians take the tool and made their own.
So here it is, in portuguese, 700 pages of Street Fighter comics from the 90's.
with all these FCBD scans it makes me wish some of the stuff stuck in floppy/physical only form got rescanned on modern scanners instead of being stuck with the 5-10mb low quality scans that are on libgen
