dude that was the big announcement. williams II and tynion were coming back for the third round but they were bringing the og for this. also im glad to see eastman on current big 2 work if it means he gets the best types of issues. with this and the kamandi issue with king (which he also killed) this seems like the return of the (east)man

Its cuz this is a celebration of 35 years of TMNT, AND 80 years of Batman. So they went all out.

If this was made two years ago, Eastman would just be doing variant covers, at best.
